Excited, Miguel Ángel Ramírez left the future open when he said goodbye to Independiente Del Valle, this Friday. The Spaniard heads straight from Ecuador to his native country on Monday to spend the holidays with his family. But before that, already gave his word to Inter that he will lead the team from 2021.

++ The Spaniard will have a 2-year contract with Inter
The 36-year-old in Porto Alegre is expected to take over the team with a two-year contract after the turn of the year. Once the procedures to formalize the verbal agreement are completed, Ramírez will arrive with a lean technical committee: two assistants and a physical trainer.
Colorado’s new board of directors, led by President-elect Alessandro Barcellos, began talks with the coach about two weeks ago. Negotiations have progressed to the point where the parties reach a verbal agreement.

The long-term contract was one of the strengths of the Colorado board in the talks. The coach asked for time to implement his work methodology. And he heard no objections from the Colorado side.
As the current season ends only in February 2021, and the interval for the start of the next season will be one week, it is likely that Inter will start Gauchão with a team made up of boys. But that will still be discussed.
Base work and professional leap
Even without an eye to eye, frequent conversations with Inter pleased the Spaniard. Ramírez really liked the project presented by the new board, even in the face of the club’s financial difficulties.
Giving priority and polishing the athletes who come from the base categories is a point that the coach likes. Before taking over the main team of Independiente Del Valle, Ramírez structured the basic categories of the Ecuadorian club. He will take the experience lived there to the basic categories of Inter. And it must actively participate in the construction of the TC in Guaíba.

The coach also has ambitions to work in Brazil. The Brazilian market is seen as an opportunity to take a professional leap. A jump that was close to happening, by the way. He was in the sights of Flamengo and Palmeiras simply did not close with Verdão so as not to leave Del Valle in the middle of the season. Something that will not happen now.
As he works to reach an agreement with Ramírez, future president Alessandro Barcellos plans to meet with members of the soccer department in the coming days. Even with coach Abel Braga to discuss the transition in the portfolio and even when the current coach will be ahead of Colorado.
