R $ 10 a month and two years of contract: Santos returns to negotiate with Robinho | Saints

After saying that the club could not afford to hire him, President Orlando Rollo met with Marisa Alija, the player’s lawyer and representative, and heard that the forward is willing to receive R $ 10 per month until the end of 2020, in a contract for two years (the value would change in early 2021). The athlete was convicted in 2017 of sexual violence in Italy; the case is on appeal.

In an official statement, President Orlando Rollo stressed the urgency of signing the contract, which provides for a new ban on hiring by FIFA. So he scheduled a meeting for 12:00 this Saturday.

Santos had started negotiations with Robinho in recent days, but President Orlando Rollo said on Friday that he could not sign the forward for financial reasons.

– It is a difficult situation for Santos and Robinho. With a heartache I say that today we cannot hire him. We have to be aware, responsible – said Orlando Rollo.

Robinho has been free in the market since the departure of Istanbul Basaksehir, Turkey, in the middle of the year, and he already knew Santos’ interest in hiring him.

Robinho even received polls in the period in which he is without a club, but none advanced. The forward, then, remains in Santos awaiting a more concrete attack from Peixe, who will pay Hamburg in the coming days and can sign again.

Born in Santos, Robinho has been with the club for three seasons. The forward has played 246 games and has scored 109 goals for Peixe. He was one of Alvinegro’s stars in the conquests of the Brazilian Championship in 2002 and 2004.

The Rei das Pedaladas returned two more times (2010 and 2014), when they won the Paulistão (2010 and 2015) and the Copa do Brasil (2010).

Robinho was sentenced to nine years in prison for sexual violence in Italy. According to the sentence, the crime occurred on January 22, 2013, along with five other men, and the victim is of Albanian origin. The sentence came in 2017, when the forward had already left Italian football, defending Atlético-MG at that time.
