According to the doctor, his wife was also hit with a punch. On the 26th, the government of Paraná established stricter measures in relation to the pandemic in the state in an attempt to contain the spread of the disease.
“I came home after spending the day in a meeting only to see that the pandemic situation had gotten a lot worse. Then this relative came, who lives with the elderly, and said that he was going to disrespect everything, ”said José Eduardo. “It hurts, but I feel like I’m on the side that watches over life,” he commented.
A doctor for seven years, the professional has worked in the Toledo City Council, in the Intermunicipal Health Consortium of the West Coast of Paraná (Ciscopar) and in the Doutor Campagnolo Hospital.
After the assault, his wife recorded a police report. José Eduardo went to the police station on Monday (1st). This Tuesday (2), you must undergo a bodily examination of the crime.
“It is a boring situation, but I think after that I will have even more courage to work because it is full of people like that and they need to understand that they are wrong,” he told G1. The Toledo Civil Police are investigating the case.
In a note to G1, the Toledo Municipal Health Council repudiated the aggression suffered by the doctor and asked that those responsible be identified and punished.
“We emphasize that the City Council repudiates any act of violence and since it is the current pandemic moment, in which officials work tirelessly to save lives here in Toledo, as well as throughout the world, acts of this type point to a total lack of respect others and only bring losses. to all those who are in the fight to make this one day only history. “
