Police say they already know who committed the massacre in Vitória, but no one was arrested

The DHPP head said that considering the complexity, the investigation is evolving rapidly and confirmed that the police have already identified the suspects.

“The police are sure that there are at least five involved and that the video is real, with technical evidence to affirm that. The suspects have already been identified. In the investigation work we will arrive at the responsibility of this crime. Working with the war traffic ”, said the delegate.

In an interview with CBN radio This afternoon (29), the police chief Marcelo Cavalcanti said that the suspects of the crime did not know who the victims were. According to Cavalcanti, what motivated the hitmen’s trip to the island was the opportunity to eliminate a rival group, as evidenced by preliminary investigations.

“We can say that the group responsible for the crime saw the opportunity to eliminate a faction that operates in the Capital. However, from the elements of the investigation, (they) did not know who the victims were. So much so that they take photos, film and they disclose a person, who has already been heard. Late in the morning on Tuesday, two men arrived handcuffed at the DHPP in Vitória, one in an unidentified police vehicle and the other in a National Force vehicle. At that time, a policeman who was driving one of the children reported that they had been arrested in Porto Novo, Cariacica, and that they would be suspected of being involved in the massacre. The four young men killed in a massacre on the island of Dr. Américo de Oliveira, in Vitória, on Monday (28), were identified as Wesley, Yuri, Pablo and Victor (see below). They were accompanied by four other boys, who managed to escape alive.

The group appears in a video, recorded at the crime scene, moments before the execution. Of these eight, two were in the furthest points of the island and do not appear in the video, which shows six youths, including the four who were executed.

In addition to the four dead, a man was shot twice in the back and was also admitted to the São Pedro Emergency Room, after being rescued by another colleague who also escaped. Later, the victim of the shooting was transferred to the São Lucas Hospital.

The survivor, who is a minor, says he was fishing at the site and did not see who fired the shots. In total, eight people were on the island when the executioners arrived at the scene.

According to the police, three young men – who were with the deceased and the injured – managed to escape. One of the three who escaped is a man who was kidnapped and placed in the trunk of a car. The man was on the island and was captured by people linked to the dead youths as soon as he reached the shores because they suspected that this child was some kind of X9.

“Two were more distant, at the ends, and were not seen by the men who came for the attack. Four people were arrested for kidnapping the boy. The victim was in the trunk of a car and was saved after a National Force team saw an injured hand outside the car. There were four occupants in the car, the victim in the trunk, and a .32 caliber revolver placed.
