The Civil Police arrested the driver of a Tempra that collided with a motorcycle. He fled the scene with the motorcycle stuck in the front of the car. The incident occurred on BR-471, in Rio Pardo, around noon on Saturday 10. The driver was captured shortly after.
Fortunately, the motorcycle driver fell at the time of the collision and sustained only minor injuries. The delegate responsible for the case, Luana Tamiozzo Medeiros, went to the scene of the accident. “They informed me that the victim had his motorcycle pressed between a tow truck and the perpetrator’s vehicle, because of him, who could not brake, due to the damaged gearbox,” he said.

The victim fell shortly after the collision, but the motorcycle got stuck in the car and was swept away. Both vehicles were burned. The injured man was referred to the hospital by the Medical Emergency Service (Samu), after asking for help from the people who passed by, since the accused fled shortly after the accident.
The delegate, together with the inspector on duty, conducted searches to locate the perpetrator of the crime. They found him and he ended up on the spot. The defendant gave testimony and was later sent to the Santa Cruz do Sul Regional Penitentiary. The driver will answer for bodily injuries caused by traffic, aggravating the fact that he did not provide assistance to the victim, in addition to driving without CNH and fleeing the place of the accident.
