A 43-year-old computer technician was arrested this Wednesday morning (25) in São José do Rio Preto (SP) during Operation Black Dolphin, which investigates a network of child pornography and sexual exploitation. According to the police, the suspect is considered the head of the criminal organization.
The man was detained inside the house, where he was with his 5-year-old son. The child was given to the grandparents. With the suspect, the police confiscated cameras and computers. The man was seen storing child pornographic material.
This morning, the Civil Police began to carry out 14 arrest warrants in various neighborhoods of Rio Preto and in other cities in the region. In Bálsamo (SP), a man was also detained in the operation and must be transferred to the Rio Preto police station.

The action is coordinated by the Rio Preto Police and has execution orders in four Brazilian states, MG, RJ, RS and SP. In total, there are 219 search and arrest warrants, in addition to two arrest warrants.
The objective of the action is to locate digital files shared in the so-called deep web, known as the invisible internet for illicit activities, such as child sexual exploitation.
According to the police, the investigation began in 2018, when the police discovered a man who intended to sell his niece to criminals in Russia.
Still according to investigations, his plan was to take the boy to Disney Europe and hand him over to criminals in Russia, claiming that he had disappeared in the park. Until around 9 a.m., the police had not reported whether the computer technician arrested this morning had a connection to the man who tried to sell his niece.
Starting with this 2018 suspect, the police began to monitor the deep web, infiltrating more than 20 communities of this profile, and discovered a network of sexual predators, especially children and adolescents, who produce, sell and buy videos of children in vulnerable situations. sexual.
According to the police, more than 10,000 email accounts were found for this type of crime. Additionally, more than five unique clouds with images of child abuse were found. The clouds were sheltered in Eastern European countries.

According to the police, the name of the operation was chosen because those investigated affirm that Brazilian laws “are ridiculous” and that there would be no prison in Brazil capable of securing them. Only the Russian Colony 6 prison, known as the Black Dolphin, could stop them.
The prison, located on the border with Kazakhstan, is known for housing prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and for its rigorous treatment of detainees.
