The Military Justice decided this Saturday (5), during a custody hearing, to keep the policeman who pointed the gun at a colleague in the center of São Paulo, this Friday (4). The arrest on the spot became preventive.
The prime minister was arrested for military crime and violence against a superior authorized to use a weapon, which constitutes a heinous military crime. He is imprisoned in the Romão Gomes Military Prison, in the north of the capital.
Videos circulating on social media show two military policemen arguing and one of them pointing the gun at the face of the other colleague of the corporation, in Rua Santa Ifigênia.
The reason for the fight was the delay of 5 minutes in the change of lunch shift.. According to the Police, the soldier who pointed the weapon was the one who was delayed and the reaction against his colleague, who is a corporal, occurred when they informed him that the delay would be reported to the higher command.
The cable to patrol the streets was also removed, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

The videos show one of the PMs holding a gun at all times, but he does not shoot. The people who watch and film the scene begin to shout: “PM war”. Other military police on the team, who follow the fight, do not intervene and only observe.
Subsequently, the police officer who had pointed the gun appears to be walking away. The other officers reportedly detained him at that time.

The Military Police clarifies that it qualifies the event this Friday afternoon (4) in the Santa Ifigênia region, in the center of the capital, as a very serious and repulsive event, where a policeman threatens another with a weapon in hand, on the road public. The attitude threatens the fundamental values of the Institution, especially discipline, hierarchy, professionalism, honor and human dignity, demanding severe penalties, to the extent of their severity. The events that occurred are being investigated by the competent authority, at the headquarters of the Military Judicial Police.The author of the threat was arrested in flagrante delicto for the crime of threat (Article 223 of the Military Penal Code) and violence against a superior authorized to use of weapons (article 157 of the Military Penal Code) and will be transferred to the Romão Gomes Military Prison “.
