The Rafaella Gonçalves military police was murdered around 12:30 pm on Monday (5), in the city of Ibotirama, in western Bahia. The perpetrator of the crime was the husband of the victim, also a military man, Edson Salvador Ferreira de Carvalho.
According to the Independent Specialized Police Company (CIPE), where soldier Edson was stationed, the perpetrator of the femicide took his own life after the murder of his wife.
The motive for the crime is not yet known. The couple had two daughters, whose ages have not been disclosed. They were not hit by the shots and are safe.
Rafaella was known on social media as “PM Influencer”. On Instagram, her account has around 70,000 followers. There she used to publish reports of the operations in which she participated and photos with weapons.
On the night of that Sunday (4), he published a story with two policemen who indicated that they were inside a vehicle. His last post was a video filmed inside a shooting range. In the comments, friends and followers said goodbye to the policeman.
“Her mission to inspire many women has been fulfilled. We will not shut up,” said one follower. “May God receive you with open arms,” said a friend.
