Sony revealed images of the PlayStation 5 (PS5) menu on Thursday (15). The console, whose launch is scheduled for next Monday (19) in Brazil, kept its interface a secret until then. Posted on PlayStation Blog, the photos show a modern design, but similar to that seen on PlayStation 4 (PS4).
One of the main novelties was the incorporation of the “Control Center”. In the new menu, it is possible to access various basic functions of the device, such as notifications, videos and screenshots, news, friends list, control settings and other options, all without leaving the screen of the game that is running on the videogame.

Another novelty is the “Activities” menu, which shows suggestions for activities to be carried out in the games, to facilitate the unlocking of trophies and missions. The system even has an estimated time to complete the task, which should make life easier for conquest hunters.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to tips and tutorials for certain games, displayed on the left side of the screen, without needing to close the game. Sony explains that this should save gamers time as they don’t need to search the internet if they have questions about a title.

The PS5’s chat system has also undergone significant changes and is apparently easier to handle. With notifications displayed on the screen, it is possible to enter a room directly with friends, without opening a dedicated menu. PS4 players or the device app can also access the chat rooms.
Sony took advantage of the presentation to show some of the speed of the console, which promises to load full games in just seconds. In the video you can see the beginning of a Destruction AllStars title game, which is one of the PS5 launch games. See the full video of the presentation below:
