With this transfer, the government reinforces the FGTS cash to reduce the losses that this fund has been suffering with some of the measures to mitigate the economic impact of the new coronavirus pandemic.
Among these actions is the new withdrawal of R $ 1,045 as of June 15, published by the same provisional measure that extinguishes the PIS / Pasep fund.
FGTS also received less money, as companies are not required to transfer payment for three months. This measure alone brought a loss of R $ 30 billion, according to the Ministry of Economy.
FGTS money is, as a rule, invested by the government in infrastructure, sanitation and housing programs.
The payment of R $ 1,045 is already being made in the INSS benefits (opens in a new browser tab)
