The PGR (Attorney General’s Office) asked the STF (Supreme Federal Court) to open an investigation to investigate any crime of prejudice against homosexuals by the Minister of Education, Milton Ribeiro.

The request was sent to court yesterday by the deputy attorney general of the Republic, Humberto Jacques, informed the PGR advisor.

In an interview with the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo published on Thursday (24), Ribeiro attributed the homosexuality of young people to “maladjusted families.” He said sex education is often used to encourage discussions about gender.

“I think that the adolescent who many times chooses to travel the path of homosexuality (sic) has a very close family context, just do an investigation. They are misfit families, some. The father lacks attention, the mother lacks attention. A 13-year-old who chooses to be gay, he has never been with a real woman, with a real man and walking. They are questions of values ​​and principles, ”Ribeiro told the newspaper.
