PF urges Moro to testify as a witness in an investigation in the Supreme Court on anti-democratic acts | Politics

The information was disclosed by Moro’s own lawyer, Rodrigo Sánchez Ríos. The investigation in the STF, reported by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, is secretly pending by the Justice.

“The hearing is motivated because, at the time of the events, he held the title of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security,” says the note released by the defense.

According to Ríos, the testimony should take place on October 2, at the Superintendency of the Federal Police in Curitiba. Sergio Moro will be heard as a witness, says the lawyer.

The investigation was opened in April by decision of Alexandre de Moraes, who responded to a request from the Attorney General, Augusto Aras.

The investigation request was presented by Aras after acts that defended the closure of the National Congress and the Supreme Court of Justice, undemocratic and unconstitutional guidelines.

In the last week, councilman Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicans-RJ) and federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP), sons of President Jair Bolsonaro, were also summoned as witnesses.

Heard on Thursday (17), Carlos Bolsonaro denied having produced or disseminated content that promoted anti-democratic acts against the STF and the National Congress.

The councilor also stated that he does not participate in the communication policy of the federal government, but admitted that it is related to his father’s accounts.
