The PF (Federal Police) today requested the inclusion of the name of the drug trafficker André de Oliveira Macedo, known as André do Rap, in the Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) wanted list.
The head of the PCC (First Command of the Capital) in Santos (SP) is considered a fugitive since Saturday night (10), after the president of the Supreme Court, Luiz Fux, suspended the decision of Minister Marco Aurélio to place him on freedom. However, police investigations report that the trafficker had already fled abroad. The SSP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat) established a working group to search for André do Rap.
Inclusion on Interpol’s so-called “red list” will activate agents around the world in the search for André do Rap. The information was released by “Globo News” and confirmed by UOL.
André do Rap and gangsters lived in the same building
The drug trafficker is suspected of being the PCC’s main link to Italian gangsters Nicola Assisi, 61, and Patrick Assisi, 37, accused by the Italian government of being the main leaders of the ‘Ndrangheta in South America, but detained in Praia Grande (SP)) in July 2019 and awaiting extradition proceedings in the federal prison in Brasilia.
While they were released, the Italians did not even disguise their identity to live in Brazil. Patrick, named on Interpol’s red list, had two children in a high-level hospital in São Paulo, showing his real name, for example.
André do Rap and the Italians lived in the same building as Praia Grande. Also, they both hired the same law firm, which is not illegal, but according to investigators, it is not a coincidence. André do Rap’s defense claims that his client was never proven to be involved with the PCC.
To operate in Brazil, ‘Ndrangheta has entered into agreements with the PCC. In two years, at least three men with leadership positions in the Italian mafia have been with heads of the Brazilian organization, among them Gilberto Aparecido dos Santos, Fuminho, arrested on April 13 this year in Mozambique. European police suspect that two other Italian mobsters are also, or at least have been, in São Paulo in recent years for the same purpose.
Asís, according to the São Paulo Civil Police, negotiated drugs with Fuminho, who is not considered a member of the PCC, but a partner and right-hand man of Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, Marcola, designated as head of the group. Fuminho would be the main supplier of medicines – from countries like Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Paraguay – to the CCP.
