The Federal Public Ministry and the The Federal Police (PF) executes, on the morning of this Wednesday (18), 10 search and seizure orders during the Cosme operation that investigates the receipt of bribes by the judges of the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais to influence the solution and progress of the trials.
According to the PF, seven are being investigated who, to obtain the privileges, offered financial compensation and other undue advantages. Six warrants will be delivered in Belo Horizonte, one in the city of Ipanema, one in Engenheiro Caldas and two in the state of São Paulo.
Among the targets are judges Geraldo Domingos Coelho and Paulo Cézar Dias, as well as lawyer Ildeu da Cunha Pereira Sobrinho, who died in February of this year. Still the violation of the fiscal and banking secrecy of several investigated persons was allowed.

The operation is a branch of Operation Capitu, launched by the Federal Police in November 2018, which verified the irregular donation of money to politicians and parties, as well as a scheme for collecting bribes within the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply – MAP.
The fee was paid by a group of entrepreneurs who benefited from the regulations issued by the portfolio and who facilitated and made their commercial businesses viable, granting advantages over other competitors.
