This Wednesday (21) the Federal Police is executing a search and seizure order at a home linked to Senator Fernando Collor (PROS), in São Paulo. The searches are part of Operation Quinto Ato, which investigates a scheme in 2014 and 2015 that involved the payment of bribes for the release of environmental licenses at Ibama, in Paraná. About 50 policemen participate in the operation.

This Wednesday’s operation was authorized by Minister Edson Facchin, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

Twelve search and seizure warrants were issued at homes linked to those investigated and the blocking of economic amounts was also determined. In addition to São Paulo, arrest warrants are also being executed in the cities of Curitiba and Pontal do Paraná, in Paraná, and Gaspar, in Santa Catarina.

The crimes would have occurred between 2014 and 2015, when undue advantages were paid for the release of an environmental license for the installation of a port in Paraná.

Wanted for G1, the senator has not yet spoken.

This Wednesday’s operation is a branch of Operation Politeia, launched in 2015, within the reach of Lava Jato, when Senator Collor’s luxury cars were seized.

The name of the operation, Fifth Act, is a reference to a financial follow-up carried out by the PF from the fifth delivery of an executive jet purchased by the senator.
