According to investigations, the gang selected, among all the orders that passed through Benfica, the most valuable – such as cell phones and electronics.

In the specific packaging, thieves paste new recipient labelsto change the delivery address to that of the member’s home.

The gang also changed, in the system, the package tracking number. The diverted order was associated with a code already used and completed.

When the actual recipient inquires where your product is, the system displays the “stopped” or “lost” package.

The PF stated that the suspects maintained a WhatsApp group – called Companies and Businesses -, where they dealt with fraud and sales of diverted items.

In the end, the packages were delivered in the normal way by postmen who apparently did not participate in the criminal scheme.

Those investigated will answer for the crimes of criminal organization and embezzlement.
