The severity of the coronavirus pandemic in Patos de Minas is alarming. This Friday (05), the City Council confirmed 19 more deaths of residents of the city by Covid-19. Another 181 cases were also confirmed, surpassing the 10,000 infected mark. All beds available to treat Covid-19 patients in the city are occupied.
According to the Municipal Bulletin, the Corn Capital went from 185 deaths from Covid-19 to 204, confirming 19 more deaths, the highest figure ever published overnight. All these deaths are of residents of Patos de Minas.
The last 19 deaths occurred between February 26 and March 3. On 02/26: two women, 57 and 86 years old; February 27: a 76-year-old man; on February 28: two men, 49 and 68 years old, and a woman, 81 years old; on 03/01: 3 men aged 35, 55 and 77 and two women aged 53 and 94; on 03/02: two men aged 31 and 61 and two women aged 45 and 62; 03/03: two men aged 57 and 73 and two women aged 57 and 96. The most tragic day of the pandemic was February 27, when 8 deaths were recorded.
In addition to the tragic number of deaths, Patos de Minas exceeded 10,000 coronavirus infections, reaching 10,087 cases, of which 9,906 were yesterday, a daily average of 122 cases.
The occupation of beds in the hospital network is still saturated. There are 163 Patos de Minas patients hospitalized in the city, 49 of whom are in ICU beds. Including suspected patients and those from neighboring cities, that number rises to 203, 65 of whom are in serious condition in ICU beds.
There are no beds available for Covid-19 in Patos de Minas. The occupation of public and private beds is found in 287.50% of clinicians and 166.67% of ICUs. In the public sector, the occupation is in 100% of the clinicians and in 100% of the ICUs. There are 1301 people recovering at home.
