With activities paralyzed like the other sectors of the club, the São Jorge Park entered this Saturday night in the dark. The lights not only went out because the place was closed but were cut by Enel Distribuição São Paulo.
According to a note published by the club, the place was without electricity due to an error in employee turnover, which ended up resulting in non-payment of the bill. Still on an official note, the administration planned the power restoration for early next week.
“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista reports that due to the change in work routine in the home office due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was an error due to employee turnover and the power supply of its headquarters was suspended. Negotiations with Enel’s distributor were carried out last Friday and service should be restored next Monday.“says the statement.
Although the outage took place this time, this is not the first time that power outage on a property belonging to the Alvinegro club has been considered. In June of last year, social networks were taken by comments of an alleged cut in Arena Corinthians, which ended up being clarified by Enel in contact with the My helm
“Enel Distribuição São Paulo reports that there was not a planned power outage at Arena Corinthians,” the company explained, through an official statement at the time.
It should be noted that the lack of energy should not affect the routine of the club headquarters, which remains closed as a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
