The parliamentarians asked Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicans-RJ) on Wednesday (3) to give more explanations to the Ethics Council about the purchase of a mansion worth almost R $ 6 million in Brasilia. The senator’s real estate business is already under suspicion and is under investigation.

Three parties – PSOL, Rede and PT – want the facts about the purchase of the mansion to be included in the representation made, in 2020, against Flávio Bolsonaro in the council.

The order says “New and very serious reports of financial movements incompatible with the income declared by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro flooded the national news. It is not the first time that real estate transactions have been brought under control by investigators from the Public Ministry of Rio, so they deserve to be clarified and investigated thoroughly. ”

Senator Humberto Costa, of the PT, said that Flávio Bolsonaro needs to explain this new real estate transaction.

“Given the nebulous aspect that this transaction maintains, it is important to clarify the origin of the resource, how this transaction was carried out,” said Humberto Costa.

Investigation of ‘cracks’

Flávio Bolsonaro is under investigation, suspected of appropriating part of the salaries of advisers when he was a state deputy in Rio, in the case of the so-called “crackers.”

Last week, the case had a major trial. The Superior Court of Justice annulled the violation of the senator’s banking and fiscal secrecy, the source of most of the evidence in the investigation.

The first to defend the nullity, followed by three other ministers was the former president of the STJ João Otávio de Noronha.

The minister was in command of the court from 2018 to 2020 and was advised by the Judge Cláudia Silvia de Andrade. She was one of six judges who served in her office during her two years in office.

The judge is the bride of the businessman Juscelino Sarkis. They appear together in various events covered by social columns. He is the ex-owner, who sold the house for almost R $ 6 million to the new owner, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.

The businessman Juscelino Sarkis stated that the deal was made by brokers, that he had no prior knowledge of the identity of the buyer and that he never had contact with him. He also said that his girlfriend was not involved in the business.

In a note, he said that he had already received R $ 4.19 million in payment, that the negotiation was done in accordance with the law and that the amounts will be duly declared.

Minister João Otávio de Noronha said he has no knowledge of the property negotiation and that Judge Cláudia Andrade did not work on any case related to Flávio Bolsonaro.

TV Globo could not contact Cláudia Andrade.

Real estate business under suspicion

The 2,400 square meter property in the Dom Bosco mansion sector, a privileged area of Brasilia, is the jewel in the crown in a senator’s real estate success story. He negotiated 20 properties in 16 years, selling some and buying others.

Many of these ongoing transactions are under investigation.

In a note, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro affirmed that, in addition to financing more than half the value, the new house in Brasilia “was bought with his own resources, especially with the sale of his property in Rio de Janeiro.”

But, according to prosecutors, the purchase of property in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio, where he lived before moving to Brasilia, was carried out with deviated values in the cracking scheme.

In the investigation, prosecutors detail the method that Flávio Bolsonaro would use to launder crack money when negotiating real estate: “acquisition of real estate for under-invoiced values ”.

The broker responds for scams

A key figure in this scheme would be the American Glenn Dillard. Dillard lived in Brazil from 2010 to 2015, learned Portuguese, and became an eye-catching figure in the real estate market.

Dillard returned to the United States where he currently responds to a lawsuit for what he did in Brazil – five creditors accuse the American of various scams.

He brought together investors for a super resort in the Lake District, in Rio. luxury hotel never came out of the newspaper.

Another suspicious Glenn Dillard deal is directly related to Flávio Bolsonaro. He it was the corridor of two apartments in Copacabana. According to the Public Ministry, the couple Flávio and Fernanda Bolsonaro officially paid R $ 140 thousand for one and R $ 170 thousand for the other.

The complaint says that this value was less than the real price of the apartments. – an inexplicable discount.

Based on the bank records, the prosecutors affirm that Dillard received R $ 638 thousand in cash.

Dillard’s testimony would be extremely important in the case, but it is hard to find today. He was recently located in the city of Riverton, Utah, where he is registered as a radiology technician at a university.

In recent months, he has been seen going in and out of a house in the city. The Jornal Nacional went to look for him, but the neighbors said that he no longer lives there.

Inmate, changing city and address, it seems Dillard hasn’t been doing business, hot or cold.
