Palmeiras lost 1-0 in regulation time, but beat Ferroviária on penalties, this Sunday night, in Araraquara, and advanced to the semifinals of the Brasileirão Femenino.
With qualification, Palmeiras can face Corinthians in the next phase, as Verdão’s biggest rival won the first leg against Grêmio 3-0, the teams decide the place on Monday.
Aline Milene scored the only goal of the match, from the penalty spot, in the 35th minute of the first half. On the play, Lurdinha was sent off and left Palmeiras with one less player until the end.

Even so, Verdão endured the result and took the penalty decision – the team had won the first game by 2 to 1. On charges, Palmeiras won 4 to 2 and did not miss any: Bianca, Thaís, Karla Alves and Camilinha. The goalkeeper Vivi saved two penalties from Ferroviária.
The other semifinal will be played between São Paulo and Avaí / Kindermann. The dates and times will be defined by CBF in the coming days.
