Palmeiras suffers a goal at the end, draws with Grêmio and loses G4 chance

Palmeiras hit the post three times in the first half, lost the same number of chances and scored just one. And it was lost. Tonight (15), Grêmio sought a 1-1 draw in the final minutes and both left with a point from Allianz Parque, for the 30th round of the Brazilian Championship. The goals were scored by Raphael Veiga and Diego Souza.

Palmeiras, if he won, he would sleep in the G4. But since he failed, he ranks sixth with 48 points. Grêmio is 50 years old and fourth.

In the next round, Palmeiras will face Corinthians, on Monday (18), at home. Grêmio faces Atlético-MG next Wednesday (20), in Porto Alegre.

It went well: Willian Bigode torments the defenders

The mustache haunted the guild defender. With good passing, powerful kicks and an always interesting offensive presence, the player was a highlight in the game.

It was bad: Jean Pyerre apathetic and making many mistakes

Jean Pyerre was very wrong. In the construction of plays or in the last pass, the midfielder wasted plays, seemed inattentive, apathetic, and heard many complaints from Renato Gaúcho.

Ron misses an incredible opportunity

In the first half, Ron had an incredible opportunity to open the scoring. He received a cross from Breno Lopes and, alone, face to face with the goalkeeper, kicked the post. The failure was not the only failure of the forward, who also missed the goal of Raphael Veiga. Luckily the ball was left for the colleague to put it in the net.

The Palmeiras game: Verdão crushes Grêmio at the beginning

With five exchanges in relation to the team that lost to River Plate (ARG), but advanced to the Libertadores final, Palmeiras had a very different attitude towards Grêmio. With a more advanced marking and better ball circulation, Verdão dominated the first half, had three balls on the post and could have made a more elastic score before the break. In the second half, Abel Ferreira’s team remained dangerous, but failed to kill the match. In the end she was punished by Diego Souza’s goal.

Grêmio’s game: Stunned, Tricolor “does not see” rival

Grêmio “did not see” Palmeiras. With several individual errors, a posture that was withdrawn from the beginning and without building anything, the Tricolor was totally dominated. The offensive marking of the São Paulo team made the gauchos abuse the shots for Diego Souza, who alone did not achieve personal victories. In the exit of the ball there were many failures, mainly by Jean Pyerre and Matheus Henrique, causing the team to suffer repeatedly. There were three balls off the crossbar, one goal conceded and so many chances Vanderlei avoided or the attackers failed in the first half. In the second half, Tricolor was another. He started to attack more and forced until he finally dropped his tie.

Preview of the final of the Brazil Cup

Palmeiras and Grêmio will repeat this match two times sooner. The final of the Copa do Brasil is previously scheduled for February 11 and 17. The first game will be in Porto Alegre and the decisive one in São Paulo. The calendar can be changed if Verdão wins the Libertadores.
