Despite Flamengo’s efforts to postpone the match against Palmeiras at Allianz Parque, scheduled for this Sunday (27), the match has a chance to happen. The Union of Employees of the Rio de Janeiro Club (Sindeclube), whose president is a member of the Flamengo security team, determined the suspension of the match, since there is a “high risk of contagion” to the professionals selected for the duel. However, CBF opposes Sindeclube’s court order and is attempting to take legal action for the match to take place at Allianz.
Palmeiras talks of “paralyzing” the championship if the CBF protocol is not followed and President Maurício Galiotte has the support of other Serie A clubs in the Brazilian Championship.
