Scorer of two goals in São Paulo’s 3-1 victory over Bahia, last Saturday in Salvador, for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship, Luciano is experiencing a great stage. In absolute numbers, he has three goals to equal the best season of his career: in 2019, by Fluminense (15) and Grêmio (5), he scored 20 goals.

In 2020, counting Grêmio (3) and São Paulo (14), Luciano scored 17 goals. But, considering the goal average, the current season is the most efficient of the attacker’s career. While in 2019 he scored 20 goals in 51 games, averaging 0.39, he now scored 17 in 40 games, 0.42 per game.

Luciano arrived in São Paulo in August, after trading with Grêmio involving Everton. And immediately, he put an end to any suspicions about his income. In Brasileirão, for example, he is in third place in the artillery, with 11 goals (he also scored another three in the Copa do Brasil).

The good phase of the Luciano / Brenner duo, in fact, is São Paulo’s main weapon to assume the leadership of the Brazilian Championship.
