RIO – On the eve of the date scheduled for his testimony before the Federal Police (PF) on the charges of former Minister Sergio Moro for alleged attempts to interfere with President Jair Twitter in the corporation, the general director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), Alexandre Ramage, visited the president at the Palácio da Alvorada, in Brasilia, this Sunday morning, according to “G1”. It was the name chosen to command the PF instead of Maurício Valeixo, but his appointment was prohibited by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
The damage left Alvorada shortly before 1 pm and he did not speak to the press. Abin’s consultants and the Presidency of the Republic neither confirmed the meeting nor reported the reason for the visit.
Change in PF: With new boss, PF de Río has five cases that may interest Bolsonaro
The testimony is part of the investigation opened by the STF based on Moro’s allegations. Also on Monday are the testimonies of Valeixo and the former PF superintendent on the Ricardo Saadi river. There may still be schedule changes if they have other commitments to date.
Ramage and Saadi should be heard at the PF in Brasilia. Investigators want to know if the delegates witnessed Bolsonaro’s alleged attempts to interfere with the PF and to learn what the president’s interests are in the corporation.
Ramage is a friend of the president’s children and, in the 2018 presidential campaign, coordinated Bolsonaro’s personal security after the knife attack in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais.
