The coach fell after poor results in the Brazilian Championship (13th place, with nine points), added to the elimination in the Pre-Libertadores, threat of relegation in the Paulista Championship and loss of the state title to Palmeiras.
“Tiago Nunes fell! It was expected. He wants good luck wherever he goes, but at Corinthians he did not care,” Neto wrote on Twitter.
In search of a new coach, Corinthians will travel to Rio de Janeiro to face Fluminense, on Sunday (13), at 4:00 p.m., for the tenth round of Brasileirão. The game will be in Maracaná.
