The teenager, Ana Kemilli, 14, found dead three days after her disappearance, in the Campo Belo do Sul field, in the Serra de SC, was killed by strangulation, according to the Santa Catarina Public Ministry. The murder of the young woman is said to have occurred on February 8, when the girl disappeared on the way back to the house, the prosecution reported. His body was found by residents of the 17 de Abril settlement, in a forest area in the interior of the city. The victim, according to police, was tied to a tree and covered in vegetation.
After the discovery of the body, the neighbor who had also disappeared from his home, spontaneously reported to the police and declared his participation in the crime. The police chief responsible for the investigations, Thiago Gómez, said that the young man was quite scared and would not have provided details about the incident. The police believe in the participation of other people.

According to information from the Prosecutor’s Office, the adolescent must be hospitalized for a period of 45 days, for an offense analogous to the crime of homicide, the maximum period allowed for an arrest before a final sentence, according to the Statute of Children and Adolescents.

Provisional hospitalization occurs when the freedom of the offending adolescent jeopardizes the investigations and the process, before the final sentence.
