The Russian opponent Alexei Navalny shared on a social network on Tuesday (15) a photo taken at the hospital where he is admitted in Berlin, Germany, to be an alleged poisoning.
The 44-year-old lawyer, who was in serious condition, said he can now breathe on his own.
“Hi, I’m Navalny. I miss you all,” he wrote in capital letters to his followers on Instagram. “I can hardly do anything yet, but yesterday I managed to breathe all day on my own. Really on my own.”
In the photo, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s main opponent is sitting on his bed surrounded by his family, according to Reuters.
On August 20, Navalny fell ill on board a plane and was admitted to a hospital in Siberia. Russian doctors said they had not detected any trace of the poison. However, after being transferred to the Berlin hospital, German experts concluded that he had been poisoned with Novichok, a nerve agent developed by the Soviet Union for military use.
Navalny was in serious condition and needed help from a respirator. Little by little his condition evolved and he came out of the induced coma on September 7.

Russia wants access to information
Moscow says there is no evidence to suggest a crime and denies any involvement in the incident. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated Tuesday that the Russian government is open to clarifying what happened to the opponent, but needs access to information about his case.
Russia asked Berlin to hand over the tests from the German laboratory that identified the nerve agent novichok. Peskov said he cannot understand the reasons why laboratories in France and Sweden analyzed Navalny’s medical samples if Russia has not yet had the same access.
The Kremlin spokesman said everyone would be happy if Navalny recovers and that he is free to return to Russia.
