José Carlos played and sang normally and, suddenly, he fell with his hands on the guitar. The rest of the band played for a while, when one of them noticed the fall of José Carlos and interrupted the performance.
The musician was rescued by a team of Mobile emergency service (Samu) and transferred to the Doutor Brício de Castro Dourado Municipal Hospital, in São Francisco, where death was confirmed.
Members of the CLM band formed the group when they were young, but later broke up. Now, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, if they found it again and decided to promote the live one, broadcast from the “Manjericão” Restaurant, in the city center.

In addition to being a musician, José Carlos Moreira worked as a locksmith in the riverside city. He had recorded a video, posted on the page of the group “Memórias de São Francisco” on Facebook, inviting the public to see it live. In the message, in an upbeat tone, he noted that CLM became known as “the greatest band of all time in San Francisco.”
According to his relatives, José Carlos suffered from a heart problem and had been using pacemakers for seven years. He left his wife and three children. The body will be buried this Sunday afternoon at the São Francisco Municipal Cemetery.
