BRASÍLIA – The Public Ministry of Espírito Santo requested, this Friday, information on the transfer carried out by the Patria Voluntaria program, chaired by First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro, to a non-governmental organization that acted in the case of the 10-year-old girl. who was raped and had to undergo a legal abortion. The request was made after a GLOBO report revealed that a branch of the program, the Solidarity Fund, transferred R $ 14.7 thousand to the entity.

The request was made by the São Mateus Prosecutor’s Office for Children and Youth (ES) and forwarded to the Associação Virgem de Guadalupe, based in São José dos Campos (SP). Prosecutors are investigating the source of the identity leak and alleged attempts to prevent her from undergoing a legal abortion.
The association is chaired by social worker Mariângela Consoli, who participated in a trip to São Mateus, the city where the girl lived, to meet with local authorities. According to a report in the newspaper “Folha de S. Paulo”, the mission made up of her and members of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights (MMFDH), headed by Damares Alves, intended to prevent the girl from being subjected to the pregnancy termination procedure. The government and Mariângela deny that this has been discussed.

The promoters want to know specifically when the program was transferred to the entity. The idea is to try to identify if there is any relationship between the donation made to the entity and their performance in the episode involving the girl.
The money was transferred to the entity by the Banco do Brasil Foundation (FBB), which was in charge of directing the project’s resources to the chosen entities.

Suspicions of loans
On Thursday, the Public Ministry of the Federal Court of Accounts (MP-TCU) requested the opening of investigations into the allocation of resources from the Voluntary Homeland.
The request was made after the publication of reports from the newspaper “Folha de S.Paulo” indicating that NGOs linked to Minister Damares Alves had received funds from the program and that R $ 7.5 million donated by the Marfrig company to purchase tests for Covid. -19 were diverted to the program by providing donations from Pátria Voluntária.
