Former Minister of Justice Sergio Moro went to the Criminal Police Institute of the Federal Police, in Brasilia, this Tuesday (12) to follow the exhibition of the video recorded by the ministerial meeting on April 22. Until the last update to this report, there was no confirmation that the video had started showing. The presentation was scheduled to start at 8 am.

In addition to Moro and a lawyer for the former minister, the Union’s attorney general, José Levi, also went to the PF. Three prosecutors and a judge were also expected in the office of Minister Celso de Mello of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

The video was pointed out by the former minister as evidence that President Jair Bolsonaro is trying to interfere politically with the Federal Police.

Moro said that at the meeting of the 22nd, attended by the ministers and the president, Bolsonaro demanded the replacement of the FP superintendent in Rio de Janeiro and the then FP general director, Maurício Valeixo, as well as intelligence and information reports from the corporation.

The video was ordered by Minister Celso de Mello, rapporteur of an investigation investigating Moro’s complaints.

The intention was to allow the material to guide, in the context of the research, the questions that the researchers had to ask during the testimonies scheduled for this week (see below).

The records are under temporary confidentiality to the public. Celso de Mello has already informed that he intends to decide soon if the restriction of access to information will be maintained.

After the video is shown, the PF will perform an inspection of the material to verify its integrity and authenticity. AGU told the STF that there are no modifications to the video.

This Tuesday afternoon, the testimonies of the ministers Augusto Heleno (Office of Institutional Security), Luiz Eduardo Ramos (Government Secretariat) and Walter Braga Netto (Civil House) are awaited. They will speak as witnesses.
