More than a month after the announcement of Biden’s victory, Bolsonaro sends a greeting message | Politics

Bolsonaro was one of the last heads of state to greet Biden. Also on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador acknowledged Biden’s victory.

Based on the count of the states, the US press projected, on November 7, Biden’s victory.

Since then, leaders around the world have recognized Biden as president-elect, but Bolsonaro and some presidents have not.

On Monday (14), following the country’s electoral calendar, the American Electoral College confirmed Biden’s victory.

During the US electoral period, Bolsonaro said he supported the reelection of Donald Trump. He even said he would travel to Washington, the capital of the United States, for the inauguration ceremony.

Trump, for his part, did not admit defeat to Biden and tried, in several trials, to annul the result. In all cases, the court rejected the annulment.
