Crocodile
A huge dinosaur-like crocodile was caught prowling the lawns of a Florida golf club during Tropical Storm Eta.
The gigantic emerald beast, with legs longer than a dog’s and a burly, bulky torso, was filmed on a walk through the Valencia Golf & Country Club in Naples as the hurricane ravaged Florida’s Gulf Coast Wednesday. .
“I was a little surprised, obviously,” Tyler Stolting, the club’s first professional golf assistant to record the video, told The Post by phone Thursday.
“It was quite big, the biggest I have ever seen!”
The video brought back memories of prehistoric times and questions about the authenticity of the beast: could such a creature really be walking the earth?
According to local media reports, Stolting and his co-worker Jeff Jones insisted the crocodile was the guy, though they were only briefly impressed by its size.
“I haven’t seen a big one in a while, I was a bit surprised,” said Jones, the club’s top golf pro, adding that neighbors had seen the monster in the past.
“I’ve been here a long time and I’m not surprised to see him cross the golf course, I’m a little surprised at how big he was.”
For Stolting, it was normal to live in the Sunshine State. He was quick to dispel the public’s bewilderment about the reptile, saying he didn’t “want” to discuss the matter.
Twitter followers who viewed the photos pointed to Florida’s many dangers as a reason to stay away. Tweets were soon posted about deadly hurricanes, sharks and, apparently, prehistoric beasts that apparently emerged from the murky waters of the state’s many canals.
