A 22-year-old model accuses Senator Irajá Silvestre Filho (PSD-TO), 37, of having drugged and raped her early Monday (23) in an apartment in Itaim Bibi, on the west side of the city of São Paulo .
The politician, who is the son of senator Kátia Abreu (PP-TO), denied having committed a crime and described the accusation as a sham.
According to the victim’s friends told the police, the model met with the senator at the Jockey Club restaurant, where they allegedly had lunch. The two then went to a bar on the west side, where they met other people and drank alcoholic beverages.

Fearing for his safety, he told police that he did not resist the violence, but asked to go to the bathroom and drink water, in an attempt to escape the politician, without success.
According to police records, the victim says she managed to leave after the suspect completed the sexual act without condoms. He then locked himself in the bathroom and texted his friends about the abuse.
A friend of the victim, also a model, 34 years old, came to the 3rd floor where the floor is to help her. Both left the place and went to the reception of the building, where they activated the PM.

The victim was also subjected to criminal and toxicological tests and the police requested images from the hotel’s security cameras to try to clarify the facts.
The case was registered as a rape in the 14th PD and will be investigated by the 3rd DDM (Women’s Police Station).
In notes sent to the press, the senator and the defense attorney do not mention the word rape.
The politician assures that he has not committed “any wrongdoing” and describes the accusation as a farce, an “infamous, malicious and treacherous episode”, a “slanderous and defamatory plot that seeks to stain my name by the momentary visibility of the role I occupy.
“I have always guided my professional, public and personal life by ethics, respect and rectitude, and it is unimaginable to be accused of something of this nature,” said Silvestre Filho.
For him, the examination of the victim’s body “will prove the truth.”
Criminal lawyer Daniel Leon Bialski, who defends the senator, says that Silvestre Filho “never practiced such an act and repudiates the accusation.”
It also states that the politician went to the police station in charge of investigating the events, provided clarifications and requested that he also be subjected to a criminal and toxicological examination.
The defense requested images from the security cameras of the nightclub, the traffic and the floor. “We trust, as always, fully in Justice,” says the note. “Senator Irajá will calmly await the conclusion of the investigations and the proof of his total innocence.”
