The family of a young man from Bertioga (SP), disappeared since August 27, discovered last Thursday that the child was found inside a garbage bag, on August 31, on the banks of the Río-Santos highway.
Gustavo Neves de Aguiar, 20, was buried as a homeless man on September 1, in the Bertioga Cemetery. The boy’s aunt, Silvana Araújo dos Santos, told the Twitter without understanding why the police did not notify the family that a body had been found in the city.
“When we reviewed the police report, I asked the investigator why they did not warn us and he kept silent,” Silvana said. “We only found the body because a woman from the IML (Medical Legal Institute) in Praia Grande helped us,” he added.
The victim’s aunt posted on social media asking for help, called the Baixada Santista police stations, thinking her nephew might be in prison, and also contacted the region’s IMLs. The professional who attended her at the IML in Praia Grande said that if there was something new, she would communicate it.
“He said that if he called me, the news would not be good. And if I did not call, it would be a good sign. Then on Thursday, he called saying that he had a body that could be my nephew’s. He asked me about his tattoos and what confirmed “, the aunt recalled. As the body was already buried, the boy’s father made the recognition through photographs taken by IML.

The young man disappeared on August 27, after leaving his grandmother’s house, where he had lived since he was a child. “It seemed that he was saying goodbye to my mother. He asked for R $ 3 to complete the money for the ticket, he said he loved her and that he would collect a debt,” Silvana said.
That night, the young man did not return home. The attitude caused surprise in the family, since Gustavo was not in the habit of doing it. “I looked for his ex-girlfriend and she told me that on Saturday August 29 she was at a Piston party [de música funk] in Indaiá. They said that the police took some people who were at the party and that only he did not return, “said the aunt, who assures that her nephew” lived a wrong life. “
“We don’t know who to believe. Some say the police took them, others say the toe boys [boca de fumo] they killed him for a debt. Only the Justice can say that it happened ”, highlighted Silvana.

Investigation
According to the Ministry of Public Security (SSP-SP), it is reported in the police report that a 20-year-old man was found dead on the night of August 31, around 8:00 pm, on the BR 101 highway ( Rio-Santos), in the rural area of Bertioga, in the Sítio São João neighborhood, military police were called to attend to the incident and at the scene they found the victim in a black bag with a cut on his neck. Likewise, according to the SSP, expert opinions were requested from the IML and the case was registered as a homicide by the Bertioga Police Station.
