The main tests of “Fazenda” are still very sophisticated and ingenious, but this year they have not demanded so much agility and strength. They are still complicated competitions, but they do not favor more athletic men, as in other editions.
The farmer’s first race in this edition, won by Jakeline, required balance, concentration and aim. The second race, won by Rodrigo, was an exercise in skill and intuition.
The third, played this Wednesday (23), once again did not require force. It was a race that left the three participants – Carol Narizinho, Lidi Lisboa and JP Gadêlha – on equal footing.
They needed to grind cane, produce juice and, with that, move a canal to fill buckets. Each full bucket revealed one letter of the word “farmer.” Whoever completed the word first won.
The expanded one fared better than the two rivals and became the new farmer. The only problem is that it was unclear what skill was needed to win the race. An enigma.
The presenter Marcos Mion gave didactic explanations about what the test would be like, but did not make it clear what would be decisive in the performance for someone to win. The cameras recorded the competition from a distance, not allowing the viewer to see in detail how the competitors were performing.
I don’t think there is any irregularity. It was simply not possible to understand what Narizinho did better than JP and Lidi. The Record actress even expressed this same surprise to the presenter, questioning what she would have done wrong, and Mion could not explain it.
Anyway, I think it was up to the presenter to have explained at the end what Narizinho’s arrangement was or what JP and Lidi did wrong.
