President Getúlio’s Santa Catarina leaves behind his wife and four children, as well as other relatives and friends. Lanznaster was in his fourth term as president of Aurora, a position he has held since 2007.
In the 1960s he was already working in the area, being a rural extensionist and later a technical advisor who collaborated in the implementation of the pig incentive programs in Santa Catarina. Besides being a pig farmer, he was a producer of corn, beans, soybeans and wheat.
“Lanznaster gives us an example of dedication to work, he courageously led the cooperative company that he managed, placing it among the largest conglomerates in the Brazilian food sector,” said the president of Fiesc, Mario Cezar de Aguiar.
In addition to Aurora and Fiesc, Associação Catarinense de Supermercados (Acats) and Associação Chapecoense de Futebol issued notes of regret lamenting the death and highlighting the legacy left by Mário.
