The actor and director Marcius Melhem collected a series of messages exchanged with the actress Dani Calabresa in an attempt to demonstrate, in court, that the two maintained an intimate and friendly relationship between the years 2017 and 2019, at which time, according to a recent report. published in the magazine Piauí, would have harassed her morally and sexually.
His extrajudicial notification, sent now by his defense and signed by the lawyers José Luis Oliveira Lima and Ana Carolina Pivoesana, is a preparatory measure to support a future lawsuit by Melhem against the magazine Piauí and the actress.
Among the seven conversations reproduced in the document is a voice message sent by Calabresa on November 12, 2017, eight days after the fraternization, in which, according to the report, he allegedly suffered sexual harassment by Melhem.
On his birthday, Calabresa sent a message to Melhem thanking him for a post he made in the WhatsApp group of the TV Globo program “Zorra”, in which he congratulated her. In exchange, the actress sent a private audio in which she says she is a Melhem fan – “I love you,” she says – and proposes a trip to Disney with the actor’s daughters, who later served as final editor of the humor group from TV Globo: he was fired in August this year, after 17 years working at the station.
“Boss, I am sending you this audio to thank you for the beautiful message you sent to the group. All the messages that you always send of support and affection. Wow, you have no idea how happy I am to know that you think I’m talented. I’m your fucking fan, ”she says.
In the voicemail, Calabresa also thanks Melhem for what he called “such a great job.” “I’m really happy. I love you very much. A kiss for your beautiful girls. Let’s go to Disney together,” he added.
Wanted, Calabresa spoke through attorney Mayra Cotta. In a note, it says that the “interpellation repeats a strategy common to similar cases.”
“It aims to intimidate not only a specific victim, but others who are still secretly protected and even witnesses, as if this could erase the serious events narrated and carefully collated with dozens of people cited by the stories.”
When asked if the initiative could be seen as an attempt at coercion, Melhem said he was defending himself against what he calls a false narrative that Calabresa has yet to speak about. “I am at a crossroads for public opinion. If I show something, I expose the victims. If I go to court, I am intimidating the lawyer, ”he says. “Where do I defend myself?”
Melhem says that he usually saves the messages and that, therefore, all his relationships are documented. As for the exhibition of excerpts from his conversations with Calabresa, the actor claims to be showing a tiny section, which does not expose the actress.
“I am showing you things that expose the friendly relationship we have. You are not exposing an alleged victim. I am demonstrating that the alleged victim and I had a relationship during the period that the magazine says was traumatized with me, ”he says. “It’s just to counter a false narrative.”

The inclusion of the passage is an attempt to disqualify the narrative, attributed to the ex-subordinates of Melhem, according to which Calabrian would have been traumatized after being harassed by him.
“I did not force Dani Calabresa to do anything that night,” Melhem said in this interview, adding that he will only reveal his version of what happened that night in court.
According to the dismantling strategy of the version that Calabresa was traumatized, the notification indicates that “the communications indicate the existence of a healthy relationship, impregnated with affection and mutual professional respect, which lasted without any disagreement until May 2019” and mentions exchanging messages the day after the party.

Justifying his decision to question the actress, Melhem recalls that Calabresa never touched his name, but that “the way he has been behaving on social networks suggests that he agrees.”

According to the magazine Piauí, Melhem would have visited Calabresa in the dressing room of Globo studios to see her body in a bathing suit before the recording.
As these scenes were recorded on the beach of Grumari, in the west of Rio de Janeiro, and without the presence of Melhem, the actor’s defense confronts Calabresa to comment on the episode.
Even years after the incident, Melhem and Calabresa continued to work together: the actor, through the collection of messages that he now presents, tries to show that this relationship was harmonious, without any trauma.
Members of the Globo humor group witnessed the disagreement indicated as the trigger for the crisis that led to the rupture between Calabresa and Melhem.
It would have been the night of May 3 of last year, a Friday, during the pilot reading of what would become the program “Out of Time.” Going up as presenter of a satirical newscast in which she would star alongside actor Paulo Vieira, Calabresa, according to witnesses, saw the successful performance of her ex-husband, comedian Marcelo Adnet, and complained about the text reserved for her.
Sitting between her and Melhem, Vieira also reportedly heard Calabresa repeat that she would rather perform with Bento Ribeiro at the newsstand.
In response, Melhem reportedly said that Vieira, a rising artist, was already the chosen one and that Ribeiro suffered resistance from the authors and the artistic direction of the show.
According to the participants, Calabresa cried, repeating that it was not “Furo”, a program that he had starred in ten years before with Ribeiro, on MTV. Melhem responded that he would not reproduce one that was shown a decade ago.
Calabrian, who was later reported to be crying, asked if she could at least bring authors she trusted to the show. In front of the team that the pilot wrote, Melhem, according to witnesses, reacted exalted.
He reportedly declined to comply with the actress’s requests, saying that the best writers in the country were on that team and highlighting his own talent as a screenwriter.

The disagreement precipitated the end of the meeting. The participants left Melhem’s apartment while a group, including himself, tried to reassure the actress. Two editors were asked to meet with Calabresa the following week to prepare a text that he liked. But there was no agreement.
