BUENOS AIRES, NOVEMBER 26 (ANSA) – The body of the star Diego Armando Maradona was buried on Thursday night (26) during a restricted ceremony at the Jardín Bella Vista cemetery, in the province of Buenos Aires, after his funeral was marked by several clashes between fans and the Argentine police.

The coffin arrived on the scene after more than an hour of travel and was greeted by a multitude of flags and banners, singing songs from the stadium.

A strong security scheme was implemented at the entrance to the cemetery, where Maradona’s parents, Dalma Salvadora and Diego Maradona’s father are also buried. Embalmed body – The Argentine website Tyc Sports revealed on Thursday (26) that Maradona left a document for his family in which he expressed his desire to be embalmed.
