Coach Vagner Mancini’s time at Atlético-GO ended shortly. He left the Goiás team for Corinthians after Dragão’s 2-1 victory over Bragantino last Sunday in Goiânia.
The news of Timão’s interest in Mancini also came during the Dragão match at the Olympic Stadium.
After the game, the coach said that he was not aware of any proposal, however, he left the red-black team a few hours later for São Paulo.

Hired for the Brazilian Championship, Vagner Mancini commanded Atlético-GO in 18 games, 15 in Serie A and three in the Copa do Brasil, with five wins, six draws and seven losses – 38% usage.
Despite the average performance, the coach left a good impression due to the way the team played and also due to the qualification for the knockout stages of the Copa do Brasil against Fluminense.
Dragão returns to the pitch on Wednesday, away from home, against Santos, and should be led by assistant Eduardo Souza, precisely Mancini’s predecessor. The club will go to the market to hire a new coach.
