Macapá registered a new total blackout on Tuesday (17), around 9:05 p.m., according to reports received by Rede Amazônica, a subsidiary of TV Globo in Amapá. Only hospitals, public agencies and commercial establishments are energized with generators.

Residents of the Macapá neighborhoods have reported that supply has returned, but has fallen further. Since Sunday (15), there was a rotation, with regions of the state capital that were three hours with power and three hours without.

The National System Operator confirmed what it called “an event in Amapá.”
