Voted the best player in the world in FIFA’s The Best award, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski of Poland used a baby safety seat to take the trophy home.
The German club published on its social networks an image of the trophy in the car seat and a video of the forward holding the award: “Safety first.”
Previously, Lewandowski used his official account to thank the achievement.
“I will repeat what I said before. Never stop dreaming. Thank you very much for this award, it is an incredible honor to receive it tonight,” wrote the Pole.
At 32, the Bayern Munich forward was the most voted and overthrew the Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo duo, who won 11 of the previous 12 editions. It was the first time that the Pole had won the award.
