The Futsal Federation of Rio de Janeiro confirmed yesterday the death of the former futsal player Leco, 44 years old. The cause of death was not reported.
Nicknamed Leco, Alex Barbosa Pereira played, among others, in Flamengo, Vasco and Botafogo during his career. In a message on Twitter, the red-black team mourned death.

Athlete of the 90s, he stood out playing for teams like Flamengo, Botafogo, Vasco and Macaé Futsal, where he played for several years in Rio de Janeiro soccer and with excellent performances for the National League.
Leco was hospitalized and this Saturday (02/05), at 44, he unfortunately left us. Rest in peace, may GOD receive you with open arms.
