How to request the advance?

The request can be made through the application or the Meu INSS website, without the need to schedule a medical expertise. When accessing the platforms, simply attach the patient’s medical certificate to the application that has a document responsibility statement.

It should be mentioned that the certificate must be legible and without erasures. In addition, it is necessary to contain the following information:

  • Signature and stamp of the doctor, in addition to the registration of the Regional Council of Medicine (CRM);
  • Information on the disease or the numbering of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD);
  • Estimated required rest period.

Then the INSS will analyze the request. If the advance is denied, the insured will be notified and must schedule a medical examination at the branches within 30 days.
