Usually known as “Furacão do Boi”, the singer and editor of toadas Klinger Araújo, 51, will leave a great legacy to culture. The artist passed away this tuesday (29), after complications caused by covid-19.
Klinger de Oliveira Araújo was natural from Parintins, but he lived for many years in Manaus, where he did various jobs such as Whimsical boi-bumbá. It is remembered as one of largest boi-bumbá icons in the state.

His artistic career began in 1986, when he worked as a broadcaster at Parintins. A few years later, he was a DJ and news anchor for the local station. In the capital Manaus, Klinger also spent time on the radio, including on local stations in Pará and Ceará.
In 1996 the artist was invited by a group of businessmen to spread the boi-bumbá culture throughout Brazil. The cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro were his destination, where he participated in various programs such as “Mais Você”, by Ana Maria Braga, and “Domingão do Faustão”.
The last performance of Klinger Araújo, in Parintins, by Caprichoso ox, was during Carnaboi 2020, where he commanded the Blue and White Nation and was also honored in Carnailha by the Fax Clube block. Klinger, who was married to singer Vanessa Alfaia, leaves behind four children and two grandchildren.
