Judge Marília Castro Neves, from the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro (TJRJ), was elected this Monday (30) to occupy a seat on the Special Organ of the Court.
In 2018, the magistrate became known for publishing slander about the councilor Marielle Franco – murdered that year – in addition to offending a teacher and asking for the execution of a deputy.

The election of Marília Castro Neves to the Special Corps was anticipated by columnist Lauro Jardim, from O Globo, and confirmed at G1 the opinion of the Court of Justice.
The body by which the magistrate was elected is made up of 25 judges who, among their powers, are responsible for judging the authorities with privileged jurisdiction.
In October of this year, the judge was ordered to compensate Marielle’s family after saying in a social network that Marielle had been chosen for drug trafficking and that she was “committed to bandits.”

New president of TJ-RJ was elected this Monday (30)
Judge Henrique Carlos de Andrade Figueira was elected, this Monday (30), as the new president of the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ).
He was chosen to assume the presidency of the court after receiving 95 votes, equivalent to 53.67% of the total.
In second place, was judge Bernardo Moreira Garcez Neto, with 78 votes (44.07%).
He is the current justice magistrate and recently met with President Jair Bolsonaro in Brasilia. The corregedor is part of the Special Corps of the TJ, which will decide whether or not to accept the complaint against Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, in the crackhadinhas house.
In the election there were also four blank or invalid votes (2.26%).
Infractions and firing order
After defaming Marielle, other publications by the judge appeared. In a closed group on a social network, the judge said she heard the news that Brazil was the first country to have a teacher with Down syndrome.
On the news, Marília Castro Neves wrote the following: “So, I asked myself: what does this teacher teach to whom? Wait a minute, I went there to kill myself and I’ll be right back, okay?
Judge who published a lie about Marielle offended the teacher
At that time, the early childhood education teacher in Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte, Débora Seabra, learned about the charge made by the judge through a colleague and wrote a letter to the judge. In it, the teacher explained how she worked with a group of 19 children.
In 2015, the magistrate carried out another attack on social media. Marília Castro Neves wrote: “I, in particular, am in favor of a prophylactic ‘wall’ for certain entities. Jean Wyllys, for example, although the bullet that kills him is not worth it.”
To Jornal Nacional, the until then federal deputy Jean Wyllys (PSOL) declared that he would file a criminal complaint against the judge for inciting the crime of homicide.
