He has been in prison since September 11 for alleged participation in a diversion scheme of up to R $ 120 million in the government of Rio de Janeiro and the mayor’s office of the capital.
Cristiane is identified by the MP-RJ as a “fairy godmother” of a company that benefited from rigged tenders. According to the complaint, she had close contact with Flávio Chadud, owner of Servilog Rio. With political influence, she and the current State Secretary of Education, Pedro Fernandes (PSC), would have implemented a criminal scheme between 2013 and 2018, prosecutors accuse .

Cristiane and Fernandes were the main targets of the second phase of Operation Catarata, inaugurated this morning to carry out five preventive arrest warrants and carry out six house searches in the neighborhoods of Copacabana, Recreio dos Bandeirantes and Barra da Tijuca. Fernandes was arrested.

The magistrate also said that the lawsuit shows that the criminal organization that allegedly embezzled public funds was in operation until the arrest of those identified as involved.
