Jornal Nacional does not open and begins editing without a full escalation

Today, Jornal Nacional de TV Globo registered a technical failure just in the opening, during the escalation, a moment in which the presenters William Bonner and Renata Vasconcellos announce the headlines of the news that will be published in the edition.

The problem affected both the images and the audio of the newspaper, “cutting out” excerpts from the reports and the voices of the journalists. The broadcast was interrupted and Renata commented on the glitch, announcing that due to it it would not be possible to show the full escalation.

Then, about half an hour after the start of editing, Bonner explained that the escalation is recorded every day, “about ten minutes before going live,” but that today, exceptionally, there was a problem during the broadcast.

The presenter later announced that he would resubmit, but “here and live,” the escalation previously prepared, and that he dealt primarily with the latest updates on political tension in Brasilia.

It only took a few minutes for “Jornal Nacional” to be included in the list of most commented topics on Twitter. Some users of the social network even jokingly suggested that the problem was caused by President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party).

The “meeting” to which Internet users refer is the meeting between ministers and Bolsonaro in which the president, according to former Justice Minister Sergio Moro, would have threatened to fire him if no changes were made to the command posts of police. Federal.

The HD with the video of this meeting was delivered yesterday to the PF, who showed it, in a reserved manner, this morning. According to Rodrigo Sánchez Ríos, Moro’s lawyer, “the material fully confirms the ex-minister’s statements at the press conference on April 24 and in the statement given to the PF on May 2.”
