At 28, Jemerson had not been included in the list of Monaco, France, and said he did not hesitate to accept the Corinthians proposal.

Before accepting Corinthians’ proposal, Jemerson took references from the club with forward Jô, with whom he played for Atlético-MG. In Galo, he also played alongside Michel Macedo.

To close with Corinthians, Jemerson terminated his contract with Monaco and agreed to earn a considered low salary, in a contract of just eight months. The French club will receive about R $ 4.5 million (700 thousand euros) from Timão.

Corinthians and the defender’s coach will return to the table to negotiate in the middle of next year if the club decides to stay with him. The new contract, already with a new club presidency, should have gloves and salary values ​​compatible with their condition.

If they decide to sign this new contract in June 2021, Monaco will be entitled to 20% of a future transfer.
