Jair’s Prophecy That the Virus Ends in December Depends on His Resignation – 03/06/2021

Bolsonaro has been saying, since April last year, that the pandemic is ending. This Friday (5) he reinforced the prophecy by stating that, “by the end of the year, the viruses are over, for sure.” Nothing corroborates the presidential statement on the end of the pandemic. On the contrary, it seems that we will advance to 2022. Dictated to a group of his fans and supporters, at the entrance of the Palácio do Alvorada, it was literally another conversation for an ox to fall asleep.

That’s a lie, we know, after all, it’s Jair. If we had another president, perhaps the country could control the broadcast by the end of the year. But if we had another president, we would be another country, with a people that respects the lives of others more.

Country in which the Minister of Economy, in March of last year, prophesied that “with 3,000, 4,000 or 5,000 million reais we will annihilate the coronavirus.” And he also had the pleasure of completing: “Because there is already enough money in health, what we would need would be an extra”.

The question is how many more lives are you going to end because you decided to let the coronavirus run its natural course without disturbing you? This week, the country recorded 1,726 deaths on Tuesday, 1,840 on Wednesday, 1,786 on Thursday and 1,760 on Friday, leaving 44 days with a moving average of deaths above 1,000.

Thinking that there is still little and that there is room for more, Bolsonaro called those who stay at home cowards, promoting crowds. And, for those who mourn their dead, he said, at an event in São Simão (GO), that it is time to stop with “freshness” and “mimimi”.

It is necessary to consider an affront to the United States to be ahead in the number of deaths (522 thousand, compared to our 263 thousand) and run to overtake. With the departure of Donald Trump, with whom he established a one-way bromance, Bolsonaro is free to disagree with “America First.”

And there is the possibility of success. While the big brother of the North spills immunizers in its population, Brazil has only contracted vaccine purchases to cover 65% of society, according to a survey by the newspaper O Globo. With that, we will enter 2022 without enough to generate herd immunization. And without it, the coronavirus will continue to circulate and kill.

Under pressure, the president called anyone who asks him to buy vaccines “idiots.” “Only if it’s at your mother’s house! You don’t have to sell in the world!” Bolsonaro rumored on Thursday (4). I had it last year, but he didn’t want to. He preferred to make us feel ashamed in several languages when he appeared in the headlines of newspapers around the world that said that the Brazilian president defended that those who get vaccinated become “alligators.”

He believes that the best solution is to go outside. And if you get the disease, you get it. And if you die, you die. And we all have to make our sacrifice to get the economy going so he doesn’t have a problem with his re-election. After all, if the Brazilian is a strong person, the one who dies is a “sissy.”

For him, the best immunizer is contracting the virus. “I had the best vaccine, it was the virus,” he told his flock on December 23. And he added “no side effects.” If you do not know that the immunity of those who contract the disease can be short-lived, you will be in for a surprise.

In the opinion of Bolsonarismo, the pandemic will only end when everyone takes it, as a form of natural selection that favors not the strong, but the richest who have access to treatment even with their health in collapse.

The virus does not end until the end of the year. But Bolsonaro is destroying the values that hold us together as a society. As I said here, the risk of this project that has been resilient is that Brazil will emerge from this crisis in the image and likeness of the president: insensitive to human dignity, with each one fighting, like him, for his own joy and survival.

Who could do something, the National Congress, is hired until 2022. Perhaps, 2026. Until it fulfills its constitutional function of defending the dignity of the population, it must be called by the correct name: an accomplice.

On time: While sending a vaccine to our mothers’ house, Bolsonaro takes the opportunity to launch a smoke screen about the purchase of the new house for his son, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. It cost R $ 6 million, ironically the same amount that is accused of embezzlement in the Legislative Assembly of Rio.
