The Civil Police investigation into the death of 14-year-old Isabele Guimarães Ramos, concluded that her friend, of the same age, was aware of the risks of pointing a gun at the victim. The teenager died of a shot to the head in a luxury condominium in Alphaville, in Cuiabá (MT). The information is from Uol.

According to the delegate in charge of the Specialized Police Station for Adolescents, Wagner Bassi, the girl will be responsible for a crime analogous to intentional homicide, when there is an intention to kill. For investigators, as the youngest trained to shoot with her father, she had the technical knowledge to handle a weapon.

“I was a trained and capable teenager. When we do shooting training, before taking the gun, we learn a situation that requires safety. We learned how to shoot and see if the gun is loaded. She had security training, ”explained Bassi.

The teenager’s 16-year-old boyfriend, on the other hand, will be responsible for a crime analogous to the illegal possession of a firearm. On the day of Isabele’s death, she brought the weapons, including the Imbel 380 pistol used in the shooting, to the family home and left them there for fear of being detained in a bombing.

According to Bassi, because they are under 18 years of age, adolescents cannot be prosecuted. “The offense is conduct that may be criminal, but to be clear, there is no crime. The ultimate consequence is hospitalization. The adolescent is never arrested, he can only be admitted to an educational establishment. It may even be closed, but it is educational, not prison, ”he explained.

Parental accusation

The adolescent’s father will be liable for four crimes: homicide – when there is no intention to kill – illegal possession of a firearm, delivery of a weapon to an adolescent and procedural fraud. The penalties can go up to 11 years in prison and fines.

“He, at no time, could have allowed his daughter to take the weapon, that attitude was negligent and generated the result, which was the death of the victim. [Ele também será indiciado por] procedural fraud, as he engaged in some behavior that we understand may have hindered the investigation. Shortly after Samu’s arrival, there were firearms on the table, he told his wife to keep them. These objects should have stayed there to be examined, ”he explained.

The father of the minor’s boyfriend, on the other hand, was charged with failing to be careful when guarding a firearm. The penalty is one to two years in prison and fines. According to Bassi, he would have the obligation to keep them in a safe place, without access for adolescents.
